Country Garden Pacificview Contributes RM20,000 to Sekolah Kebangsaan Morni Pok

Gelang Patah, 17th November 2015 – Country Garden Pacificview Sdn Bhd (CGPV), the master developer of Forest City project, proudly contributes RM20,000 to Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Morni Pok today at the mock cheque handover presentation together with students’ academic excellence and graduation ceremony. The contribution are for infrastructure improvement of the school. CGPV also contribute one container which was converted into a classroom cabin.

The effort of the contribution is to curb with classroom shortage of the school. The contributions also aimed to provide a conducive learning facility for the convenience of students and teachers in the CGPV’s adopted school.

“Our CSR programmes aims at contributing to capacity building and human capital development so that the communities within our area of operations will be able to participate in and benefit from the extensive developments undertaken by the company” said Hezrin Ali, Head of Corporate Communication & Media CGPV.

CGPV has introduced adopted school program to strengthen CGPV’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives in education. The implementation of this program is to assist students in the selected schools in various ways especially in terms of personal development, academic and social development. CGPV’s adopted school includes
SK Morni Pok, SK Pendas Laut, SK Tanjung Kupang, SK Tiram Duku and SK Tanjong Adang.

“It is CGPV’s responsibility to give back to the community and CGPV will continue to devise more CSR activities as we aimed to highlight the ways in which we have leveraged our knowledge, expertise and insights to create avenues for progress within the community” added Hezrin.

The main purpose of this program is to provide planned guidance for the students and to provide comprehensive learning facility for the development of a student’s academic performance in the adopted schools. CGPV has organised various CSR event towards the education which includes UPSR Final Sprint Motivational Seminar, Back to School CGPV and infrastructure upgrade of its adopted schools.

“SK Morni Pok thank and appreciate CGPV for their generous contribution. We will use the classroom cabin for the benefit of students. The school infrastructure and facilities are inadequate, and we will use the fund to improve the infrastructure of the school. I hope the improvement of the infrastructure will motivate the students” said Kamarudin Yusop, Headmaster of SK Morni Pok.

The mock cheque handover presentation together with students’ academic excellence and graduation ceremony were held at the school and was officiated by Tuan Mohammad Khairi A. Malik, Political Secretary to Chief Minister of Johor / Head of UMNO Gelang Patah division.

Country Garden Pacificview Support for Johor’s Conservation and Research & Development of Sea Horse Program

Gelang Patah, 4th November 2015 – Country Garden Pacificview Sdn Bhd (CGPV), the master developer for Forest City project is honored to be the official sponsor for the launch of ‘Seahorses Heritage from Pristine Johor Straits’ Book and Release of Sea Horses event which was successfully held at Johor RAMSAR site, Sungai Pulai, Gelang Patah, Johor today. The event was officiated by Duli Yang Maha Mulia Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Al-marhum Sultan Iskandar, The Sultan of Johor.

The effort is a part of CGPV’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives towards the environment. CGPV believe in contributing to the enhancement of quality as well as development of the community, education and environment through the provision of products and services that address our stakeholders’ needs and aspirations. The sponsorship also highlighted CGPV’s full support to the Johor’s conservation and research & development (R&D) of sea horse program.

The historic event was listed in the Malaysia Book of Records (MBOR) for three success, firstly for the achievement, which is Johor as the first state in Malaysia to implement the release of sea horse program, the results of ex-sifu breeding to natural habitats. Secondly, the release of 200 seahorses at RAMSAR site, Sungai Pulai, Johor and lastly, the development of the first sea horse sanctuary in Malaysia by J-Biotech.

“We are proud to be the official sponsor of this momentous event. The seahorse conservation efforts are important in ensuring the existence of this marine life for our future generations. Credits has to go down to J-Biotech for playing an important role and responsible for developing Johor into prime mover of biotechnology and biodiversity” added Datuk Md Othman.

CGPV hopes this event will be the first of many to come involving CGPV’s CSR effort to the environment. CGPV will derives more CSR related programme in the future, our focus on the development to community, education and environment enables us to streamline our initiatives to make more targeted and meaningful difference.
