Country Garden Pacificview Contributes RM20,000 to Sekolah Kebangsaan Morni Pok

Gelang Patah, 17th November 2015 – Country Garden Pacificview Sdn Bhd (CGPV), the master developer of Forest City project, proudly contributes RM20,000 to Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Morni Pok today at the mock cheque handover presentation together with students’ academic excellence and graduation ceremony. The contribution are for infrastructure improvement of the school. CGPV also contribute one container which was converted into a classroom cabin.

The effort of the contribution is to curb with classroom shortage of the school. The contributions also aimed to provide a conducive learning facility for the convenience of students and teachers in the CGPV’s adopted school.

“Our CSR programmes aims at contributing to capacity building and human capital development so that the communities within our area of operations will be able to participate in and benefit from the extensive developments undertaken by the company” said Hezrin Ali, Head of Corporate Communication & Media CGPV.

CGPV has introduced adopted school program to strengthen CGPV’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives in education. The implementation of this program is to assist students in the selected schools in various ways especially in terms of personal development, academic and social development. CGPV’s adopted school includes
SK Morni Pok, SK Pendas Laut, SK Tanjung Kupang, SK Tiram Duku and SK Tanjong Adang.

“It is CGPV’s responsibility to give back to the community and CGPV will continue to devise more CSR activities as we aimed to highlight the ways in which we have leveraged our knowledge, expertise and insights to create avenues for progress within the community” added Hezrin.

The main purpose of this program is to provide planned guidance for the students and to provide comprehensive learning facility for the development of a student’s academic performance in the adopted schools. CGPV has organised various CSR event towards the education which includes UPSR Final Sprint Motivational Seminar, Back to School CGPV and infrastructure upgrade of its adopted schools.

“SK Morni Pok thank and appreciate CGPV for their generous contribution. We will use the classroom cabin for the benefit of students. The school infrastructure and facilities are inadequate, and we will use the fund to improve the infrastructure of the school. I hope the improvement of the infrastructure will motivate the students” said Kamarudin Yusop, Headmaster of SK Morni Pok.

The mock cheque handover presentation together with students’ academic excellence and graduation ceremony were held at the school and was officiated by Tuan Mohammad Khairi A. Malik, Political Secretary to Chief Minister of Johor / Head of UMNO Gelang Patah division.

Country Garden Pacificview Support for Johor’s Conservation and Research & Development of Sea Horse Program

Gelang Patah, 4th November 2015 – Country Garden Pacificview Sdn Bhd (CGPV), the master developer for Forest City project is honored to be the official sponsor for the launch of ‘Seahorses Heritage from Pristine Johor Straits’ Book and Release of Sea Horses event which was successfully held at Johor RAMSAR site, Sungai Pulai, Gelang Patah, Johor today. The event was officiated by Duli Yang Maha Mulia Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Al-marhum Sultan Iskandar, The Sultan of Johor.

The effort is a part of CGPV’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives towards the environment. CGPV believe in contributing to the enhancement of quality as well as development of the community, education and environment through the provision of products and services that address our stakeholders’ needs and aspirations. The sponsorship also highlighted CGPV’s full support to the Johor’s conservation and research & development (R&D) of sea horse program.

“As a caring developer and a good corporate citizen, our CSR programmes aims at contributing to capacity building, human capital development and environmental initiative so that the communities will be able to participate in and benefit from the extensive developments undertaken by the Company” said Datuk Md Othman Bin Hj Yusof, Executive Director CGPV.

The historic event was listed in the Malaysia Book of Records (MBOR) for three success, firstly for the achievement, which is Johor as the first state in Malaysia to implement the release of sea horse program, the results of ex-sifu breeding to natural habitats. Secondly, the release of 200 seahorses at RAMSAR site, Sungai Pulai, Johor and lastly, the development of the first sea horse sanctuary in Malaysia by J-Biotech.

“We are proud to be the official sponsor of this momentous event. The seahorse conservation efforts are important in ensuring the existence of this marine life for our future generations. Credits has to go down to J-Biotech for playing an important role and responsible for developing Johor into prime mover of biotechnology and biodiversity” added Datuk Md Othman.

CGPV hopes this event will be the first of many to come involving CGPV’s CSR effort to the environment. CGPV will derives more CSR related programme in the future, our focus on the development to community, education and environment enables us to streamline our initiatives to make more targeted and meaningful difference.

Movie Treat for Underprivileged Students

Johor Bahru, 15 October 2015 – Approximately 20 primary school students who achieved well in their Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) trial examination  were treated to a movie preview of ‘PAN’ at City Square Johor Bahru.

Most of the students expressed that it is their first time to enjoy a movie in a cinema and felt grateful for the opportunity given by Country Garden Pacificview.

According to Hezrin Ali, Head of Corporate Communication and Media of Country Garden Pacificview, the organisation took an initiative to treat the underprivilleged kids for ‘PAN’ and free movie snacks from four different adopted schools namely SK Tanjong Adang, SK Morni Pok, SK Pendas Laut and SK Tanjung Kupang from within Gelang Patah area.

“Other than to celebrate the students’ achievement, the movie preview is also an inaugural for Country Garden Pacificview to invite Johor media partners as a get-together occasion. The movie treat is also an incentive for the students to study hard and achieve well in their examination,” added Hezrin.

SKUDAI, 22nd August 2015 – Country Garden Pacificview Sdn Bhd (CGPV), the master developer for Forest City project successfully organized “Pecutan Akhir UPSR 2015” (2015 UPSR Final Spin) for its adopted primary schools at Al-Jazari Hall, Faculty of Bioscience and Medical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia today.
 
The programme’s objective is to assist students from five primary schools in Mukim Gelang Patah to prepare and achieve excellence in Ujian Penilaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) examinations. In this program, CGPV organizing one-day workshop seminar for 115 students who will be sitting for UPSR next month. CGPV’s aim is to work closely with its adopted schools to create a strong academic foundation for the students to excel in their academic journey.
 
“The program is one of the initiatives undertaken by CGPV in helping to motivate the candidates of UPSR exams. It is one of our Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) activities under the CGPV Academic Excellence label,” said Hezrin Ali, Manager of
Corporate Communication & Media CGPV.
 
Under this program, the students will able to know the technics and tips how to answer the questions for four main subjects – Bahasa Malaysia, Science, Mathematics as well as English. Also a slot for motivational talks to motivate and inspire students
to achieve excellence.

Gelang Patah, 13 August 2015 – Country Garden Pacificview Sdn Bhd (CGPV), the master developer of Forest City project, proudly announced the enhanced outlook of the Sekolah Kebangsaan Tanjung Kupang school stage today.
Based on “need basis” as the main criterion, one of the Country Garden Pacificview adopted school, Sekolah Kebangsaan Tanjung Kupang to receive financial support and assistance for upgraded school stage for the student’s utilization.
“The building of the stage as well other facilities costs at RM20,000.00. The effort is one of our corporate social responsibilities,” said Hezrin Ali, Corporate Communication & Media Manager of CGPV.
“As a caring and responsible corporate citizen, CGPV has a responsibility not only to its employees, customers and investors, but also to the various communities in which CGPV operates in. CGPV’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy is focused on education and community building programmes and other community engagement efforts,” added Hezrin.
Sekolah Kebangsaan Tanjung Kupang senior assistant principle Normajidy Abdul Majid said the old stage, which was 10 years old, was in a deplorable condition as the plywood was damaged after it was infested with termites.
“We are thankful for the contribution as the pupils will now have a better learning environment,” added Normajidy.
Launching and gracing the event was CGPV Corporate Communication & Media Manager, Hezrin Ali yesterday handed over the stage, which came with marble flooring.

JOHOR BAHRU, 25th May 2015 – Country Garden Pacificview (CGPV), the master developer of Forest City project today jointly organized with Johor Versys Owner Group (JVOG) left to East Coast for its Peninsular Camping Ride 2015.
Starting from Johor Bahru, the four-day journey will see about 30 participants covering a 2,000km routes to the states of Pahang, Terengganu, Kelantan across the Titiwangsa Range to Kedah, crossing the Penang Bridge, Perak, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Negeri Sembilan, Malacca before ended back in Johor Bahru.
“The reason to hold this camping ride is to show to the public that being a biker would not stop a person from involving in charity work. Apart from doing charity work, we also want the public to know that involving in such activity can help foster closer relationships between the races,” said Yu Runze, Head of Strategy Country Garden Pacifiview Sdn Bhd.
The bikers are from Kawasaki Versys owners from around the State. Most bikers consists of riders who have experience in the field of motoring and cruising with the desire to experience the ride in convoy for a long journey.
“With casual riding concept, we hope this ride to give positive public perception that the bikers transpire prudent, disciplined as well as orderly ride. At the same time to challenge the durability of bikers to ride for long distances and in a different weather and road conditions,” said Ali Qushairy Abu Kasim, Director of Johor Versys Owner Group.
“While our company delighted to jointly organize this event with JVOG, it is one of CGPV’s Corporate Social Responsibility activities in addition to introduce CGPV throughout the peninsular of Malaysia,” added Runze.
The Peninsular Camping Ride 2015 was flagged off by the presence of Y.B Dr. Haji Zaini Haji Abu Bakar, Assemblyman of Nusajaya in front of Country Garden’s office.

BUKIT INDAH, 20th Dec 2014 – Country Garden Paficiview (CGPV), the master developer for FOREST CITY project today with great pleasure, delights 50 underprivileged school children aged 12 from four schools of Mukim Tanjung Kupang on a shopping trip to TESCO Bukit Indah to purchase basic school necessities for the 2015 school year.
 
School children from Sekolah Kebangsaan Tanjong Adang, Sekolah Kebangsaan Morni Pok, Sekolah Kebangsaan Tanjung Kupang and Sekolah Kebangsaan Pendas Laut received two sets of school uniforms, two pair of shoes and stationery set and at the same time UTM also distributed 50 school bags to the school children. This charity event, themed Back to School Country Garden Pacificview, is one of the programmes under CGPV’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative together with Country Garden Volunteers Group.
 
“This initiative is the first event and is part of the company’s community-based program organized throughout the year. The program is aimed at alleviating the parents’ burden and helping them to prepare their kids for the 2015 school year. The program is part of the company’s ongoing initiative to give back to the people as well as contribute to the wellbeing of the surrounding communities,” said Teo Chee Yow, Executive Director of Country Garden Pacificview Sdn Bhd.
 
“For Back to School Country Garden Pacificview 2014, we decided to make it even more meaningful to the school children by letting them select their school items especially school uniforms and shoes, plus teaching them the responsibility of spending wisely based on an allocated budget,” added Teo.

 

As the start of the school year approaches, CGPV want to make sure the school children are ready for school with their basic necessities in place. CGPV hopes that the contribution today will bring smiles to these children’s faces.

The Back to School Country Garden Pacificview 2014 was graced by the presence of Y.B. Dr. Haji Zaini Haji Abu Bakar, Assemblyman of Nusajaya, who handed over the school kit to the underprivileged school children of Mukim Tanjung Kupang. The programme was also attended by Associates Professor Dr. Othman Ismail, representatives for Deputy Vice
Chancellor of UTM.
